Hammonton Senior Center
Hammonton, NJ

| Hammonton wanted to meet the social, recreational, nutritional and medical needs of its senior population. The seniors needed a meeting hall that could support an organization of 180 members and was easily accessible. The Town identified a recreation building overlooking Hammonton Lake that would also serve as a center for senior programming, but required funding to renovate and expand the building. |
| Triad identified funding to expand and convert the existing Recreation Building into a Senior Citizens Center. Triad also worked with officials in Hammonton and Atlantic County to move some of their services to the new senior center. Working with the town’s engineer to obtain the cost of construction (which was $480,000), Triad prepared and submitted an application for funding to the NJ Department of Community Affairs. |
| The application to NJDCA was approved and the project is underway. The project will substantially increase the size of the current facility. The facility may be home to various programs from the Department of Recreation, the Family Community Center, as well as Atlantic County Senior Services. |
